Ever want to build a tabular report using references from multiple objects (i.e. "Bionic Reporting")? Well, you can actually accomplish this today!

  1. Start a new Bionic Rule using the Rules Engine.

  2. Make up the tasks and merges as desired. Be sure to include all the things you want in the tabular report in the "Show Me" and carry them through the merge.

  3. Go to the action tab and DO NOT add an action.

  4. Do a Test Run of the rule.

  5. Once the execution is done, go to the Execustion History and download a copy of the results from your Merge task.

Voila, you have Bionic Reporting!

I also commented with something similar on this similar post: =19695224#reply_19695224]https://community.gainsight.com/gainsight/topics/-bionic-reports-is-something-like-this-on-the-roadm...
Thanks Ben! 😃
Awesome, Ben! Thanks for sharing here for everyone's benefit.
@venky_reddy_k Do you know if Bionic Reporting will be something built-in to the product soon?

I'm with Ben Michael...I'd like to see Bionic Reporting as well. Bionic Reporting would solve a lot of problems for my organization.

This would be really cool for some internal emails I'm setting up for our CSM and Sales reps. Currently working on some weekly summaries for CSMs and AEs to be in-the-know about opportunities for accounts they own in different capacities.

e.g. CSM has a renewal 90 days out and forecast doesn't look great? Include the opp and some details as a row in a tabular report in a weekly email to the assigned AE.

Or, AE has an upsell or xsell opp that has just hit contracting? Include the opp and some details as a row in a tabular report in a weekly email to the assigned CSM.

Can get the basic stuff from sfdc using a dataspace report, but being able to query sfdc, dataspaces and MDA, and summarize into a report would enrich the messages we're sending.
