Question

Including Null Values in Scorecard Reporting

Hello fellow Gainsighters (if that’s even the right word)!

I’m having trouble with an ask that I thought should be easy… How can I show nulls in a report from the Scorecard? We have a report that shows customers who have a Red/Yellow/Green score but there is no way (at least that I’ve found) that I can include customers with a null value. Including the nulls allows us to know which customers have yet to have a sentiment score logged by a CSM or have yet to complete a survey so it would be incredibly helpful to see this in one pie chart or report. Currently we’re having to do a pie chart for those with a sentiment and a separate report entirely for those that are null/missing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hello @Andrew Gadsby

Hope you’re doing great.

Thanks for reaching out, To include null values in a Scorecard report, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Administration > Report Builder.
2. Click + REPORT to create a new report.
3. Select the Scorecard Fact object as your source object.
4. In the 'Show me' section, include fields such as Company Name, Current Score, and any other relevant fields.
5. In the 'Filters' section, add a filter to include all records, even those with null values. If you can’t filter for nulls directly, create a calculated field to identify null scores, then filter using this field and run.
6. You can also create a pie chart visualization with segments for Red, Yellow, Green, and Null scores to see all customers, with and without scores, in one view.

I hope this helps. Have a great weekend!

Thanks,

Mudita Singh
