What is the difference between an NPS survey and a generic survey? 

In Gainsight you can create surveys containing a variety of questions. If you include a specific industry-standard NPS (Net promoter score) question, then I would consider the survey to be an NPS survey. Using the NPS question type (v creating your own via ranking, multiple choice, etc) allows you to utilize several built-in features Gainsight has around NPS.

 

As for the NPS Survey v Generic Survey JO models, the difference is in the pre-built sections provided. Either is fine. We just sent out our first NPS survey and used the Generic Survey model based on our Gainsight COM’s recommendation.
