Hello Gainsight Admin Community!
In this post, I will discuss the most common use-case of restricting the Person list in the C360 Adoption Explorer Usage section to only those who have usage data and not pulling all the Person details associated with an Account.
Following this approach, your CSMs can save their time clicking through contacts that don’t have usage data and then struggling to find the right contacts with Usage data.
In Adoption explorer, here is how you can limit the lookup in C360 to only include users with Usage data.
Simple Solution:
Step 1:
When you are configuring the objects in the Adoption Explorer project make sure to configure the object “Person Information”. This object is to store Person information. The source of this object can be configured just like any other object in Adoption Explorer. The object/file you are giving as the source should be the one having the details of the contacts with usage data and not all the contacts.
Also make sure that the source data for the Person Information object holds the following identifiers:
-
Person ID - is the unique identifier in the source data that is passed as a source in AE.
-
External ID - is the unique Account identifier in the source data that is passed as a source in AE.
-
Person name - Name of the Person in the source data.
Inturn the above IDs should match with the lookup creating Company and Person identifiers in the AE settings page.
Step 2:
Navigate to Layouts page in Adoption explorer. Click on the settings button on the top right. It will give a global filter settings page for the layouts.
To limit the Person details in C360 to only those who have usage data - choose Person Information object instead of Gainsight Person object in Person filter.
That’s all. You are done.
You can verify the same in the person dropdown either in the C360 AE usage section or in AE.
