Today, you can click through to individual CTAs in a report & Copilot, but not Tasks. Users have to click the CTA, open the Task tab and then click the individual task they want to view, which increases the effort and clicks to get there. Additionally, today we can form URLs directly to entities like CTAs, Success Plans, C360, etc which we use to generate links in comments via rules, but we cannot for Tasks.
Allowing direct hyperlinks to a Task—just like they already can for CTAs—creates three clear benefits:
• Faster actionability: Users can jump straight into the exact task they need to update, which reduces clicks and speeds up task completion.
• Better data accuracy: Direct access makes it far more likely users update the correct task, improving status accuracy and field completeness.
• More usable dashboards: Reports that surface tasks (overdue tasks, blocked tasks, onboarding steps, risk tasks, etc.) become truly interactive, not just informational lists.
Today in the Cockpit, if you have a Task view, you can click an “Open” button next to the Task name to directly open a Task in the CTA Details view. This needs to be emulated directly from within Reports and rules.
