I wondering what you all would consider the best strategy for creating time based CTAs. Lets say we want to produce a CTA to direct the team to do a quarterly QBR.

The way I figure, I can set up my CTA rule via cron that fires on the first day of each specific month that aligns with our quarter and set the CTA to fire a certain number of days into that quarter.

Is this the correct strategy? Am I over or under thinking this?

Thanks!

Since you can setup your fiscal year in GS settings, and fiscal quarter is available in a variety of filters and things across the platform, I’d do something like trigger CTA if « run date = first day of fiscal quarter ». Or something like that (depending on when within the quarter you want it). I’m not in the platform right now so I probably don’t have all the filter and capabilities named exactly right but I’d suggest using the capability to set up your fiscal year and leveraging that in filters and config..

Ah ok, yes that makes better sense. Thank you!
