We have trial customers, which we would like to have in Gainsight so we can see product usage. However, Gainsight requires that we associate it with a scorecard, so we would like to create an unweighted scorecard. We want it to be unweighted because we want to see some of our scorecard metrics (i.e., product usage), but because these aren’t paying customers, we don’t interact with them much, so we don’t want it to be included in the overall health score.
It doesn’t appear there is a way to create an unweighted scorecard. Any suggestions?

Hey @lizwebster , I am not sure if I understand the scenario completely, but we don’t have something like an unweighted scorecard. What we could do, is have a separate scorecard for trial users where some scores can be set , with measure weights = 0 and if all the measures we track need not contribute to the overall score, would it help (with sort of a hack) may be to add dummy measure with 100% weight and for which we don’t set any score?

Hi @lizwebster

You technically cannot create an unweighted scorecard but can do the following

You can create a scorecard and have multiple measure in it. Assign 100% weightage to only one of the measure (that will never have a score set to it). You can then have rules to update the score to your product usage measure (and also other measure if needed)

To score without impacting the overall score, set % contribution to 0%

If you want to sometimes have this calculate into the overall score you will need a second scorecard that is configured for non-trial companies.
