Our embeddable widgets come out of the box with an automatic search, using the title of the page to find relevant content. This saves time when embedding the widgets on a lot of pages on your site, but for some webpages/subjects, you know exactly which specific topics should be highlighted - topics that’ll definitely provide helpful information to your visitors.
We want to help you do that easily & efficiently.
From Control, you can now easily pin specific community content to a particular page or group of pages on your website. By doing this, any visitor using the embeddable widgets on that page will see the content you selected, regardless of the title of the page or the search query - the content will always be there.
What exactly is available?
A new tool in Control that enables you to highlight specific community content in the embeddable widgets on specific pages of your website.
Check out the How To for more information on how to get started.
What’s next for the embeddable widgets?
- The next major update for the embeddable widgets will be the ability for visitors of your website to view the details of a community topic through the embeddables without having to leave the page.
- We’ll also be adding tools for you to control the behaviour of the widgets (e.g. switches to turn certain widgets on and off), as well as the ability for visitors to rate the helpfulness of topics they view in the widget.
