It’d be great if we could create customized buckets of data in report builder. This would help us more easily summarize insights to CSMs and the company. Just like we have it natively for Date fields (by Quarter, by Month, by Year, by Week….) I’d like to create my own custom buckets for numeric data.
Let’s say we have a Usage field on our Company object, and the business needs to know the percent of accounts that fall below a certain threshold, vs above that threshold. Right now, I don’t think there’s a way for me to natively accomplish this.
Use Case Examples:
- What percent of accounts have less than 50% usage?
- What percent of accounts have more than 2 Champions?
As I’m typing this out, there’s also a need here to allow for generating percentages from aggregate fields.
My use cases above have a defined “threshold” of what is considered acceptable vs not acceptable, and the business needs to know of the book of business, what percent of accounts fall within the acceptable vs unacceptable range.
Today, I don’t have a way to do this natively in report builder.
