We would like to exclude certain content from the recently active feed.

We create a lot of support content for our community. Every time we publish something, the contents appears in the recently active feed.

Our users find this disturbing. Many other relevant topics slide down in the feed and are therefore overlooked. Moreover, we think dat most support content do not need to be displayed in the recently active feed …

Agreed on this one! I’d like to hide some of our KB articles, as we tend to publish a bunch at once and that pushes member generated content too far down the feed!

We have the exact same problem @Hiewwaiy , we will be migrating topics from Zendesk to Insided and don’t want to dilute our community activities with KB content in the active topics stream. (Some users already told us this would refrain them from using our community)

An additional use cases would be to be able to prevent detractor topics (or content in a specific category) to appear in the recently active topic lists.

We definitely need this! We post release notes for multiple languages and multiple software packages on the same day. This overwhelms the Recently Active view. Our users are linked to these articles from a different location on our website, so there is no need to host them in the Recently Active view. Please let us suppress items like these.

Workaround for us:

We release the content in a “hidden category” so no user sees them. When there are 20 new recently active topics, the hidden content gets “buried” and will land at the very bottom of “recently active”.
After a few hours/days, we move that content into a visible category.

Obviously a fair bit of extra work, and not ideal as it will delay publication. But that’s how we’ve dealt with this.
