There are some great posts out there for enhancing HRE Actions (linked below), but I haven’t seen one that specifically is asking for the ability to create your own Action name.

Here’s the issue:

  • To best consolidate our rules, we like to use our rules to execute multiple actions
  • We are able to name the BRANCH, but we are not able to name the ACTION

Why does this matter?

  • When deleting fields from your dataset, the Dependency pop-up only gives you the name of the Action that the field is dependent on (eg….Call to Action….Set Score 2.0….).
  • If you have a rule with many of the same actions, you do not know which action the dependency is on

Real Life Example:

  • We have 1 scorecard rule to set our scorecard measures. The rule has 20 actions
  • When I try to delete a field from the dataset that is no longer needed, I get a pop up like this (below) and look at all the possible Actions that this could be dependent on and I have no idea which one it is (second screenshot)

If I could name my Actions, OR EVEN BETTER IF AI SUGGESTED AN ACTION NAME FOR ME, this would improve the admin experience.

100% would help with troubleshooting and overall maintenance of these rules.
