Stop showing this error message in Timeline when changing Activity Types if no fields have been filled out. It’s frustrating for users and makes no sense when no data has even been filled out in the activity except for date (which is needed for all activities anyway).

A vote for this should also be a vote for #productparity.

So many other popups like this that should either:

  1. Be turned off if nothing has been changed
  2. Be able to be turned off if nothing has been changed (user preferences)

These types of alerts absolutely need some TLC.

From a JO perspective, it’s incredibly frustrating to be building a multi-variant email, and to get a similar popup whenever I change variants, when I know I haven’t made any edits.

That popup might be useful if it said something more like “You’re making/you’ve made this/some changes. That/those change(s) will be discarded if you continue.”

This ☝

Seems very timely, I’m adding my two cents about something else we don't want when nothing changed 😁

The new update from this weekend for C360 to dynamically default to the most common update type now exacerbates this issue.

I thought Gainsight was trying to improve the CSM experience?

This, along with any similar user functional change, should have a toggle at both the admin and user level to disable it.

Super frustrating and a time waster for our end users

The unwanted change in

brought me here, which has made this popup a larger issue for our users.

I can see this pop up making sense if some fields were filled out prior to switching to a different activity type (maybe clicked accidentally, warning before work is lost). But, I agree with others here that it’s unnecessary when no data has been added to the entry prior to switching activity types.

This is a waste of a click on one of the most frequent and time consuming processes for CSMs.

Agreeing with the band here: The two components here are quite useful on their own (default Timeline Activity Type and a warning about pre-entered data being lost when Timeline type is changed), but introduce click friction when put together, especially when neither one can be turned off by an Admin.

We just had an onboarding manager return from vacation to this issue, saying that it’s annoying especially with the amount of updates he adds to Gainsight on a daily basis. Please please PLEASE at least allow admins to toggle this feature on/off. As admins, one of our main priorities is to keep our end users happy, and it’s hard to do this when it’s related to an issue out of our control. Thank you for your consideration!
