Shared users across PX accounts

Background:

Have shared users across multiple accounts. The same user logs into multiple accounts, for example a test account and a production account

Challenge:

If Users share the same identifier across accounts, we can only ever see the information for the last account that user logged into.

For example, if the user logs into tests, on the user attributes we see the account related is the test account and when we look at the user details or any queries, it shows their actions on the test account.

If the user then logs into production, the user attributes are updated to the production account and we see the actions they’ve taken in production.

There is never a way to see the user’s actions in both their production and test account at the same time. this presents an issue on reports since we cannot get a full view of usage of accounts.

Request:

Allow PX to show a user record per account, even if it’s a shared user and so only one user ID exists. This way we can see the user attributes per the account at the same time.

Current Solution:

None, just be aware that we are missing data for users.

This request is specifically for PX but we do send users/accounts over to CS with an integration and we’d need to make sure the integration supported this setup.

@njoury - I’m confused by what you’re asking for. Are you asking for the attributes to be separate per product tag? Or to map multiple user IDs to the same user?

@mmarques I”m asking to have the primary key for user be the user ID/account combination, so that the users area will return data for all accounts a user is associated to.

Our applications have one user that has multiple accounts, and the data is only returned for the last account that user logs into. I lose visibility into all the data for the other accounts. I can only see information from one account a user is in at any time.

I have a video showing how when I log into one account, the user data for the other account is no longer there. I’m unsure how to attach a video here as I can only see how to embed an image or a link, and the video link is behind my company’s microsoft account. Is there a place I can upload the recording? I have also shared the recording with Vineet Kakani and Anusha Mohan

@mmarques any update on this? This continues to make reporting using Gainsight very difficult. An example is this support ticket: #354739

@njoury - I don’t work for Gainsight. Check with Support, your CSM, or as someone in Gainsight.
