We have a complex product with many training resources available in the KC bot. We would like to have the option to exclude GainsightCC “ideas” from the search results in order to reduce the number of matches that are returned that the user has to sift through.

We do have the community categories set in the PX KC bot for that product, but since an idea is linked to the product in CC, there is currently no way to exclude them.

@JayS in the Bot V2 development that is underway, we will provide an option to completely filter out Community content. If you only want to filter out Ideas, then in the config, you will have to remove the Product Areas. As Ideas are associated with Product Areas, unselecting all of them will give the desired behaviour. Please note it is for V2 that we are developing. Let me know your thoughts.

Attaching a mock below on how it can be setup when V2 will be released.

Hey @aharkut, one thing that would greatly help is being able to exclude ideas by status.

Our search results clog up with ideas with our “merged status” and being able to exclude them would greatly help our members find what they are looking for. I’m sure there are others in the same boat.

Let me know if this needs to be a separate idea!
