It appears you don’t have the option to manually rerun a query and resend an email in dynamic JO.  This is again functionality that was available in the old Advanced JO that was removed.

This is handy for a couple of different scenarios that could arise:

  • You’ve made changes to the template, and you want to send out an updated version.
    • In my case, it was an internal email that we made some updates to a report and wanted to send out a new version.
  • There was some sort of system error in running, and you need to send again.
    • This has happened a few times where they have been mass JO failures, and we need to trigger a program to run again.

Another example of functionality that I rely on in Advanced Programs, and another reason I am glad to continue to only work in Advanced Programs.

One hundred percent -- I was all set to build out a new program in dynamic JO, but between the inability to do custom string mappings, difficulties with case expressions, and the issues with editing active queries, I’ll be better off just building it in Advanced Programs. 😢

Reliability FTW.

Yes! This is another issue with parity between the old and new versions. I have been trying really hard to move to the new JO but there are just so many things that seem to be missing.
