Currently, our corporate policy on Google BigQuery requires a billing project ID. The dataset that the data lives on, not many (if any) have direct query access to the Project ID. Query access is given to individuals via Billing projects. That way the compute costs can be divvied up based on who made the query. I have spoken with Support and others familiar and have been told it is not possible with the current connector / integration and must have direct query access to the Project ID provided in the connector setup.
Our policy will not allow us to leverage the Connector as is due to this, and therefore requesting that the ability to specify a Billing project ID (optional) is added to the connector configuration for the Google BigQuery setup.
