Filters in the integration with PX and Slack

Related products:PX Integrations

It would be ideal to be able to filter the answers of our survey in the integration that exists with PX and Slack, through which we receive notifications every time someone responds to our survey.

For example in Slack we would like to be able to filter only the "Detractors" who are "Admin" users. For now we can only select to receive all responses, but there is no option to filter and this would be ideal in order to take more immediate actions depending on the user type who is answering.

This enhancement would truly increase efficiency in our processes, which I know is something Gainsight is always trying to promote. Thank you for considering this idea!

+1. This would significantly increase the value of this integration.

My team is slowed down because the Slack notifications aren’t useful. The PX integration with Slack would benefit from any number of beefy enhancements:

  • ability to filter or set criteria for what survey responses are sent
  • support for multiple slack channels
  • control for what user attributes to include in the slack message

And these ideas are just the tip of the iceberg!

I agree @mishellerocketreach.  The current PX Slack integration cannot be customized in these ways, but hopefully our PX Product team will consider this enhancement request in the near future.

However, some of our Gainsight PX customers have already worked with their Slack Administrator to do this very thing using PX Webhooks to send the the Usage/Engagement data to Slack for processing using Slack's Webhooks integration options.

As described in their documentation, the options in Slack for processing, filtering, and displaying the data in the custom ways described above seem to be available right now … you just need some help/time from your Slack Administrator to set it up properly.

Happy PX-ing!
