Currently, moving a Dashboard to a folder with ‘Give access to specific people’ folder level permissions will add the folder level permissions and keep the original permissions. This was confirmed as functioning as designed by Gainsight Support because dashboard level permissions are primary and folder level permissions are secondary.
This request is to provide an option when moving a dashboard to a folder level permission folder to either keep the existing permissions OR remove the existing permissions.
When we are ready to release a new restricted Dashboard to our end users, we currently need to manually remove the individual users/groups and then assign the correct Sharing Groups. Configuring the folder level permissions helped with assigning groups but still required the manual process to remove the development groups. Giving the option to keep or remove the existing permissions upon dashboard move would save time, eliminate human error of adding the incorrect group or not removing an old group, and keeps our permissions tidy.
