Be able to see the value of a Calculated Field in JO participants

Once a participant passes through a conditional wait with a calculated field, there’s no way to see what the value of that field was in order to validate that the calculated field is functioning as expected. Currently, you can only preview participants in an active state, but that doesn’t help if their values change at the completion of the timer.

I have a program with two conditional waits referencing the same calculated field with the same conditions. Participants passed as expected through the first wait and did not pass through as expected in the second, yet I can’t troubleshoot the cause because I can’t see what value the system saw at the time they were evaluated.

Hi @kelly ,

Thanks for sharing this.

And now it’s 3 years old, and still new.

After having gone through an extensive support call, I recently learned about the Participant Criteria Step Execution object available for reporting. However -- that is an extremely unwieldy workaround to see what the data was at the time the calculated field was evaluated.

For our use case, we had a field that had changed (incorrectly) to a null value at the time the evaluation occurred, but showed as the correct value when we looked at it during troubleshooting.

Mapping that data to the data design for each program if we wanted to just see that data would be a huge timesink (and not an effective use of our time).

And for clarity… while the data is there, it’s a headache to try and figure out what’s what.

Echoing all of the above comments. While we’re just starting with it, the fact that we can’t troubleshoot and see results directly in the program (particularly when answering questions well after the fact) definitely raises concerns.
