It would be beneficial for admins to have the ability to opt-in to notifications/alerts in the event of an Activity Sync to Salesforce failing (similar to the failure notifications available in other areas of the product, such as Rules Engine).

This would prevent admins from having to continuously monitor the GS Error Logs object, and would help to catch one-off failures before they turn into larger issues.

Customer in question here, and thanks for posting this @mmayhall ! In general, any process in Gainsight that runs needs to have logs and configurable alerts for failures. This is similar to the gap with scorecard jobs that just vanish into the into the ether:

@rakesh @anirbandutta not sure where the “Admin Revamp” project is at, but it seems like making sure all processes have visibility would be a good part of that.

along the same lines:

need more logs/failure notification transparency.

Bumping because I’m running into issues with the lack of visibility here as well.

Ex: I’m setting up the sync now, and my run has been queued for hours. Where can I see where it sits in the queue?

My run from yesterday was aborted, but there are no logs in the Error Logs object. Where can I see why it was aborted?
