It would be useful for us to have the possibility to add private/hidden product update categories that are visible only for those we invite to see them. This would allow us to share product updates for custom made products and solutions in Product Updates as well.

Hi @Anitahg ! Thank you for submitting this idea - have you tried to go to “platform/product-updates/permissions” ? There you can set the access to Product Updates based on user roles, so you can control who can view, reply, and like product updates. I hope this will help you achieve what you want!

Hi @Marion Frecaut yes but that does not seem to solve our need. What we need is for a specific Product/Category in Product Updates to be visible only for selected user roles. This is useful when products are going to be sunset, and we need the information to be available for some clients but don’t want to show it to others, or if a solution is developed on a one to one basis for one specific customer only and we don’t want to show other clients.

Hi @Anitahg! Thank you for sharing your idea about Product Update categories. We are currently looking to validate this idea, as we haven't seen much traction on it yet. We will consider it as we continue to gather input from other users. If you have more details or specific use cases, please share them with us to help us better understand your needs.

@Sudhanshu The idea of categories in Product Updates would greatly help our organization as well. Having categories similar to how the Knowledge Base is structured will help us provide product updates across our products consistently. We have several products and access to each product varies. Thank you!
