We’d like to differentiate the system emails a user receives based on what particular topic they’re subscribed to.

 

For example:

A user is subscribed to 3 categories in our community (A, B, C).

  • Category A is a general product news announcements category.
  • Category B is a specific use case forum
  • Category C is a best practices discussion

We’d like to design different system emails (new topic) for each different category. So a new topic email from the product news category would be a bit more robust...outlining a bit more of what’s included in the new topic. But a new topic email from the specific use case forum would be more minimalistic and to-the-point.

The email campaigns won’t work because we can’t segment the audience based on subscription.
