Ability to delete records automatically to meet GDPR compliance

The Update or Upsert data ingest limitations mean that users that may have been deleted from our proprietary user management system are still in Gainsight. It would be amazing to be able to write a rule to automatically delete records if they weren’t brought in in a subsequent ingest (because they are deleted).

    We will be bringing in the ability to set a rule to delete records from Gainsight. This is planned towards the end of this year. 

    I will keep you posted on the updates.

        Do you have a status update on the deletion function that you mentioned? We have a meeting with our legal team soon and it would be great to understand what our options are for deletion requests

        I would also like to use this to keep our usage data tables under control! We only need to keep ~2 years of usage data at a time accessible in Gainsight, so i’d love to have a scheduled rule to purge usage records over 2 years old on a rolling basis each day.

        hi @pgeorge any updates on this?

        As the automatic user deletion after a certain time frame has quite some impact for us and is important to comply with GDPR regulations, I would love to know the status on this product initiative?

        Very important for us to have as well. We need to think about anonymising options for data we might not be able to delete fully. If it’s a rule, needs to be configurable so that we can customise to our own retention schedules, needs to be able to pull instructions from SFDC - although I guess this would be done with external actions more than rules?

        There are techs out there (isn’t it @TMaier) that automate this across systems - maybe you have some expert ideas to share?
