Ability to make a post public without being a in a category

I’d like to make a handful of articles publicly accessible. Instead of creating an entirely public community category, I am suggesting the ability to make specific posts within existing categories visible to the public. The topics of these articles don't all fit under the same category, so creating a single public category would result in duplicative content. This is because some articles are intended for a general audience, while others are meant for our existing private members.
