ability to prevent inactive picklist values being used in activity sync

Hi team,

 

Posting this here for broader visibility of our customers.

 

When we make a picklist in SFDC as inactive and map this field under activity sync, synced task/event is able to use the inactive value at the time of task creation.

    @jagadeesh_kumar_paidimarri Thanks bringing this up here! That’s a nice catch, I think its a missed use-case. I will check with the product team on this and get back to you.

    @jagadeesh_kumar_paidimarri This is not a missed use-case and this is expected behaviour, I confirmed with the Product team. 

    I am considering this as enhancement request and redirecting.

    We don’t have plans to make this change since this can impact the sync of historic activities.
