We would like the ability to automatically award badges based on the number of likes received or given. Currently the only automatic criteria available are; topics, replies, and answers.

Any plans to have likes as badge criteria? Likes are amongs the criteria for ranks, we’d want them to badges as well 😊

Hi Suvi, no plans as far as I know, but happy to ping our PM @Sebastian who may know more than I do.

Hi @Suvi Lehtovaara, we don’t have any immediate plans to work on gamification. However, when we do, this’d be one of the first things for us to pick up.

This would be great!

As of now, we have to manually assign badges for likes given/received based on a monthly user data export. This is quite labourous.

Hi @benjibegley - curious how you are exporting data on ‘likes’ … currently trying to figure out the simplest way to see which members give the most likes in any given time frame.

Upvoted!  @Sebastian We need this as an automated badge criteria as we want to remove likes from our rank structure in order to simplify it and would rather award badges for both likes given and received.  Likes given encourages behavior of showing appreciation to other members, likes received encourages sharing high quality content and answers that other members find valuable.  This really requires an automated solution, especially to celebrate the first time someone gives or receives a like.  The manual process is really only doable for rewarding top members who have received a large number of likes.
