It would be great to be able to see posts that are reported/flagged in the API.

There are a couple of ways it would be useful for us:

  • We use the API with a third party dashboard to monitor other measures (eg mod tags, users, posts, etc) and we’d love to add the number of reported posts to that.
  • As a company we live in Slack and it would great to be able to send flagged posts straight to Slack so that we can respond to them asap. Having flagged posts in the API would give us the tools to make it happen.

Thanks!

Hey @danvers, thanks for sharing this idea and providing details of how it would be useful. Do you have a specific solution in mind here - e.g. would a webhook be suitable?

Any update on this?

This has become a critical item for us as well. Similar use cases as articulated above: we’d love to monitor in Slack and/or setup some custom dashboards.

But in addition to actively monitoring it, we had been working to set up an automation for auto-deleting flagged posts by the post post author. (IF flag was from post author, automate delete / in flag is not from the post author, it’d go into the standard moderation of flagged posts).

Our team feels confident we could complete our use case if an attribute for “flagged” was added.

Related to this and my question here:

Our super users have articulated the “inability to delete your posts” as their biggest concern / loss of functionality in moving from our previous solution.
