Add text when declining and approving group join requests

Hi, I would like the opportunity to add a custom text when we approve or decline requests to join groups. We can encourage engagement for the ones we approve, and it feels rude to decline join requests with no explanation why they are not approved. Now I send them a private message explaining, but it would create a better user experience if he/she/hen receives the notification in the decline note.

    The behavior I’d love to see with this would be a selector of some kind on a pop-up window when you decline a join request (or when you remove someone from a group). This could be a drop-down menu or a checkbox, but each option would tie to an automated email or private message template that we could customize ahead of time (maybe the templates we create actually determine what options are offered when declining a request).

    Something like:

    Select why you’re rejecting this join request:

    • The user does not meet this group’s membership criteria.
    • This group is full.
    • This group is closed to new members at this time. 

    And so on. This way, the user gets closure on their request with a human touch, and potentially saves repeat work later (avoids them attempting to re-join).
