We have a program which is set to welcome new users to our tool and provide resources on how they can get started. The issue is however, we want for this email to be sent out as soon as their license is provisioned (data already syncing into Gainsight CS via Rules Engine every hour).

Currently audience criteria only allows a sync once a day and to overcome this we would need to leverage the Events Framework which requires API knowledge, a IPaaS, and isn’t the best documented part of the platform.

By allowing for us to sync audience to a program every hour, we can create better moments for our customers without the need of additional technical complication.

Using events is also super limited if you need to merge data between objects to get all of your tokens or participant information - would definitely agree that there can be some improvements made for real-time or at least speedier communications! 👏🏻

Can thing of multiple other use cases where we could benefit from this

This would make things so much easier.

I can’t be the only admin that doesn’t like touching events. And like @jenlpro said, if you need to merge data between two objects (and not use up one your 10 available calculated fields), events flat out don’t work. Not to mention, testing programs with an event source is significantly more complicated than testing queries or data designs.

I’ll echo @jenlpro & @dayn.johnson on the events limitations (and difficulty of set up & management). Having something more simplistic for a routine sync/send (even if it mirrored scheduling Data Designs or Rules to run once every x hours) would be a signficant improvement for our usage of JO.

I have @aaronhatton ‘s exact use case I’m trying to solve for, with limited knowledge on events framework across the team.
