The related topics widget in the topic side bar that promotes discussions on sub-forums seems to pull really old topic atlas in our community. Even on very popular and much discussed topics it often shows 3-7 years old topics though I am sure there are a lot fresher topics on the same subject.

Overall I don't think it gives a good impression of a community that the most related topics are several years old. At worst it gives the impression that there's only really old topics, no fresh discussion and the promoted topics can have old info in them. I think it would be good to have atlas max 1 year time frame added to this widget.

We are receiving feedback about this from our superusers, even they feel frustrated with this. Any chance this would get picked up? @xiaoyu-shen :)

Hello @Suvi Lehtovaara , to be completely honest with you, this idea will not be picked up anytime soon, it is hard for us to see the value of implementing this feature for all our customers especially since implementing the archiving feature.

Sorry, I can't be of further help on this.

@Marion Frecaut it’s a pity that this idea is not going to be picked up anytime soon as I do feel that this would serve a different purpose than archiving does.

But I also fully understand your point of view :relaxed:  But hopefully maybe one day

@Suvi Lehtovaara I totally agree with you.  We are also getting the same feedback.  I, too, think it serves a different purpose than archiving.
