Additional Webhooks for User events (including Profile Updates, Ranks and Badges, Category Subscriptions)

Currently, the API offers public webhooks for only two user events: 

User events

• IdentityAccess.UserRegistered
• IdentityAccess.UserLoggedIn

When I checked with Support, they indicated there are others available, but they are not yet configured to be be publicly accessible: 

We do have some user events available in our API, but there''s no way for the public to get them right now because they''re all internal - would require engineering to expose these events as new webhooks.
 

Desired User Events

• Profile fields updated

  • It would support Salesforce and CRM integrations and automating for keeping contact information up-to-date

    • ex. User updates their job title on community, automation to update their contact record in the CRM

    • This could be an important and valuable tool for companies/community managers to monitor when a customer changes companies, as that could inform the access they should have to certain areas or other relationship elements

  • it would allow community managers to custom build a solution for this idea: 

• Avatar updated 
  • A specific sub-item of above, it could be used to create safe guards for monitoring the appropriateness of photos uploaded. There’s no current image content guardrails you can automate and there’s no way to flag a user profile. 
• Category Subscriptions/Follows (added or removed)
  • Would allow integration with marketing systems for email distribution lists
    • Use case: personalized and segmented community newsletters with “top posts for your forums” with smart content newsletter sections showing only the categories they subscribe to
  • Would allows the same time of solution with custom user roles for the email campaigns tool (currently in beta) and improved user segmentation in the User Overview
    • There’s not currently a way to filter or create segments for users subscribed X forum, but this would allow it to be created
• Rank obtained/changed
  • Would allow community managers to create alerts to solve questions like this: 
  • Use case: visibility into who ranks up and when
• Badge awarded/earned
  • would allow community managers and teams increased alerts and visibility into when this happens (versus monitoring the badges feed on the community, which cuts off after a certain amount of badges)
    • This could be key for promoting internal visibility and celebrating wins.
    • It could also be configured for making some custom reporting to show badges earned over time (webhook trigger > automated add row to spreadsheet) 
  • Would allow community managers to create their own version of this, if so desired:
