Adjust how logins/age are calculated

The logins and age criteria are not useful for us in the current form. Many users will save their login information on their browser the first time they login, meaning they will always stay logged in and consequently their number of logins will never change and their last login date is irrelevant. It would be much more useful if sessions were measured (similar to Google) in that it timed out after a certain period and when they revisit it counts as another login/session. Similarly with age - counting age in seconds since the date they joined is an irrelevant measurement in our case. A much more useful measurement would be age in seconds of time on page since they joined.

    @Christa Brown thanks for sharing this - can you clarify what part of the platform are you referring to here? Is this related to ranks, the user overview, both, or somewhere else entirely?

    @daniel.boon This would be related to both the ranks and the user overview.

    From a user overview pov, it would be great to measure:

    • The “real” last time a user visited the site, ie. last login (even if their login information is saved on their browser and they don’t have to physically re-login)
    • How much time they spend on the site, ie. age

    From an analytics pov, this would allow me to understand:

    • How many sessions per time period, ie. how often they visit the site each week, or month, etc.
    • Average session time, ie. when they visit they typically spend 5-min for example

    From a rank pov, I could then use the logins or age fields as rank criteria (in conjunction with the other available criteria). Right now, based on how they are calculated, they are irrelevant fields for assigning ranks in my opinion.

      Adding an example to illustrate the issue with the current field “last login” on a user’s profile. I have a user who commented in a forum in our community that is only visible upon login on December 1 but their last login date on their user profile in the control environment states November 11.
