Allow delete formula from field in Data Management

Hi all,

This week I ran into a little hurdle with our launch of relationships: calculated fields. We used to have calculated fields to generate some benchmarking data at the company layer.

Now that we have relationships, these are insights we generate at the relationship layer BUT we need to aggregate these insights for all the relationships belonging to a company, and as such need to write the aggregated (summed or averaged) values back to Company.

That’s not been possible as I couldn’t remove formulas from my Company fields. 

However, since it’s possible to ADD a formula after the field has been created / after it’s been in existence for a while, why would it not be possible to remove a formula after creating the field? Especially where that formula can be modified. Why can’t I go the step further and remove it?

I’m now having to recreate all these benchmarking fields without formulas (with a lot of dependencies to undo and set back up afterwards).

It would be a time saver to be able to remove formulas from fields.
