Hi everyone,
I understand the efficiency gains we get via this inline editing.
I have one question regarding this: What all areas do CSM’s want to update? Is there a need to support it for (low volume) custom objects too?

Hi
I would agree. It would be better if there were no limitations on the type of object. I use low volume objects all the time because its the only type for new objects that CSMs can view the records.
Unfortunately this is not part of Horizon Analytics. Sorry.
I thought I heard somewhere that inline report editing for company attributes is possible with Horizon Analytics -- did I misunderstand or is this still a “coming soon” feature?

In Gainsight Home, we have released a “My Portfolio” widget - where editing company attributes inline is already possible. We are working on adding this widget to Dashboards as well.
I have had 2 clients in the past week ask for in-line editing on tabular reports on any dashboard.
Love this but would very much like people ability to do in-line editing controlled by user permission sets and not just some global on/off please :)

AGREED!!!
Any updates here? I would love to see this functionality when management needs to make new account assignments based on CSM departures or team changes. I am doing the same thing as Curtis with the excel export and re-upload.
+1 to this, we would love to be able to in line edit reports, especially ones that are referencing low volume objects. We have several use cases for this.
I know that we can do some in line editing on the porfolio for the company object, and that’s great! But we have a few low volume objects that could greatly benefit from this.
We have one particular thing that we are tracking in a custom low volume object that is very important. Right now the experience for CSMs to update information is that they have to go to each relationship 360, navigate to the section where we store this information, click into the edit button and update. Then go to the next relationship and do the same thing. For our low-touch CSMs they could have lots of updates to make and it is a very slow and tedious process. Would love tabular reports to be editable in-line!
This would be very valuable to my CS team. Especially our launch managers who have to manage a lot of moving parts via several fields.
My Portfolio coming to dashboards is not enough. We need this functionality across the platform.
Thank you for your help!
We need this in-line editing functionality for all objects across the platform.
Roger that
Just to circle back that this is in the works. No more specifics to share right now
+1!!!! This would be a great enhancement. Our team currently loves the fact you can do inline editing in the My Portfolio report in Gainsight home. If we can have this for all other tabular reports in Dashboards, it would be a hit.
In a perfect world, we wouldn’t need this, but we don’t live in a perfect world and sometimes we have to clean data for our book of business while we fix the overall issue with the workflow. Being able to do this for a book of business report would be excellent!
This is an old thread but hoping that this would come soon. It was a huge want in my last role and it started to bubble up in my new company. We have CSMs needing to make 100+ click and loads at times from dashboards that prompt them to update data in the system and having this capability would substantially reduce the burden.
