Allow setting null values in SFDC via Connector 2.0 RTS
Hi there,
It appears that the Gainsight Connector will REJECT updates that would set the value to null in Salesforce.
The context :
- Real Time Sync on CSM (Gainsight) to Customer Success Manager (SFDC) (via a derived mapping as we look to sync the SFDC User ID of the CSM)
- Single Directional : Gainsight → SFDC
This makes no sense since my setup for this field is that of a single directional sync. Meaning if the field becomes blank in Gainsight, there’s no reason it should be rejected by Gainsight because Gainsight “thinks”. If it becomes blank, there is a reason and Gainsight should honor it and push the null to Salesforce.
The request is to lift these silly bans that make no sense and are forcing us to create a side architecture with Real-Time Rules to address the issue.
Creating complexity where there is no need. #adminqol
Thanks
