Allow users in a custom role to create Product Update posts

As a side note, I feel the same way about articles. I’d like this functionality available to users without giving them a seat in the mod console, since we have people who create knowledgebase articles - but do nothing else on the backend.

Right @Kgastaldo !  I see no reason to give someone 20 different powers and abilities when they only need 1 :-)

It only makes sense to be able to calibrate access to Control for very specific usecases: Product Updates, KB articles, etc…

Articles, Events actually should be available from the front end to be created may be based on access that can also be config. to be achieved based on Ranks.

The ability to grant specific content creation rights without full Control Panel access is exactly the kind of use case we're designing for. We're moving this into discovery as part of our granular permissions and content management work, and we'll keep this thread updated as we learn more.
