Hi Team,

I’d like to request a feature enhancement to enable granular video engagement tracking when a video is embedded within a dialog/guide.

Today, we can embed videos to educate and onboard users, but we lack visibility into how users actually engage with those videos. Specifically, we’d benefit from first-class tracking for the following events:

  • Watched the video (initial play detection)

  • Did not watch the video (dialog viewed but no video play)

  • Watched the entire video (completion threshold reached, e.g., 90–100%)

  • Abandoned the video partway through (drop-off with last watched timestamp/percentage)

This feature would be extremely valuable for Cvent. Looking forward to seeing if the GPX Engineering team can prioritize and deliver this soon.

For this to be possible, PX would need to host the video. An iframe embed is not going to send click events up to the web app, and the timecode-based stats like complete and drop-off time would require the player to be in the scope of the aptrinsic sdk for custom events

Some basic tracking (like clicked in the area of the video) should be possible somehow, I guess? Would definitely be interesting data for us to analyze our onboarding flow more deeply as well.
