Any plans to allow merging Relationships?

Hello Gainsight Team!

The ability to merge accounts is fabulous, specially if you are like us and have tons of duplicate/bad accounts in SFDC that need cleaning up.

Is there any plan to allow merging of relationships in the same way as merging of accounts? For us, if we merge an account, we also need to merge any relationships under those accounts (not always but in many cases anyway) and currently it seems that they are simply added / duplicated and can only be deleted which would mean losing the data

@anirbandutta - not sure how the person merge functionality is relevant to this thread. Any updates on relationship merges?? This is still our number one pain point in Gainsight that causes a lot of havoc

[Update] - We are picking this item on priority in the upcoming quarters. Please feel free to reach out to me on community if you would like to talk about any specific requirements in the same regard. Alternatively, i would also be coming up with a VCAM shortly to get your feedback and further understand the pain points.

+1 on this enhancement request. Crazy this feature doesn’t already exist given the requests for 2+ years!

@Dheepak G the use case here: If accounts are merged in SFDC, the accounts also require to be merged in Gainsight to preserve timeline activities, CTAs, etc. We (pretty much) align products and relationships 1:1, so now we have a scenario where Companies have multiple relationships for the same product, with timeline activities etc split between them and no path to be able to merge. I noted the VCAM in February, so hopefully the Product and Engineering teams have a solution in the works right now!

Can you please advise:

Suggested alternate solution to resolve in the absence of this feature?
When is the feature expected to be available for beta testing?

@Stuart We have started development on relationship merge / reparenting and is expected to be in Beta/GA soon, i will keep this thread updated to provide an ETA for the same. Meanwhile, incase if you require any specific help in this regard please contact our support teams
