Assign Timeline Notes to Specific Timeline Activity Types

This feature would also prevent the user from forgetting to add the template which is a significant concern. 

+1 this is a pain point for us. In addition to what’s been mentioned, this would help promote data consistencies, reduce uncertainty (e.g., user selecting wrong template or none at all), and contribute to a more efficient workflow. 

Agree with all of the above - this feature request is of particular priority to us as we work toward designing a pooled CS team with a focus on cross-departmental collaboration.  Reduces inconsistencies, drives compliance, and allows for more accurate reporting.

Current Functionality vs. The Missing Piece

• What we have: Currently, admins can restrict a note template so it is available only for specific activity types.

• The Gap: We still cannot force a default template to automatically apply the moment a specific activity type is selected. Users must still manually select it from the dropdown, which leaves room for error.

Related & Larger Gap: Milestones

This limitation is even more restrictive when it comes to Milestones. Not only can we not set a "default template" for them, but there is currently no capability to map specific note templates to specific milestone types at all. All milestones are bundled into a single generic category.
