Associated Timeline Entries - Display meaningful values when display fields present

I believe there are similar posts with Horizon Analytics floating around, but there seems to be an increasingly prevalent, and vexing, design choice where display fields show limited and oftentimes useless amounts of characters.

This particular example relates to Timeline Associated entries.

As you can see in the example, the “Name” field displays at least 25 characters including spaces. 

Type displays 7, and status displays 4.

Bizarrely enough, neither Type nor Status display any useful characters. All I get are “O...ve” and “...w” respectively.

Can we please recognize that field values exposed to end users should be human readable? It is fine to truncate text if character limits are exceeded, but this really isn’t acceptable.
