Auto save for long topics/posts/replies

Hello and (nearly) happy new year!

An idea - can we get an auto save functionality? A couple of our community’s super users have ‘lost’ their posts because there was a tech issue their end so their beautifully written words and well crafted replies were lost, meaning they had to start again.

And when someone loses their whole post, their second attempt is tinged with frustration, alas.

Can we explore adding auto saves to posts?

    Echoing the sentiments above. 

     

    Security is of utmost importance and therefore a session time out is required by our infosec team. Users would greatly appreciate an autosave feature/function if they’re not able to complete their draft within the given session time.

    We are going to take a look at this as part of our content publishing or editor enhancements later this year. Please let me know if you have any additional feedback on this idea or any questions. I don’t have a set timeline to share quite yet or if this will be in that body of work, but I hear the frustrations and challenges here and I will do my best to find a solution that works.

      Excited to hear this, ​@Larry! For all its struggles, Khoros handled this very well and would love to see similar functionality. We’re also hearing user frustration about it.
