It would be great to be able to backup all the settings and content in Control into a downloadable or backed up version on the platform.
This would be useful in case something is changed and needs to be quickly reverted.
A sandbox could be used to replicate our live site but there is the risk that the sites will get out of sync as people try different things and setups but forget to put things back to the way they were.
+2Totally. A ‘mirrroring’ of the prod feature is key for migrations, etc.
+3That’s a great idea. We have this exact usecase right now and manually mirroring configurations and complex settings like the category structure, user role settings or theme from prod to our new sandbox will take several hours.

Version control and mirroring sandbox and production (for categories, custom pages, and groups) would be so helpful! We are trying to grow our community site in a scalable way, but we’re severely limited by the manual maintenance required to use sandbox as both a testing site and a backup mirror site.
