Calendar and events to have user role based restriction

Hi @Anitahg - thanks for adding your input for this idea! We don’t currently have any updates to share on this, but I’ll be sure to update the topic if there are any new developments.

Would really really like to see this implemented. 

This is important for us, as well. It is strange that all community elements have the private option except for events. I don’t understand the logic behind that!

What is the status here for user-role restricted events?
The idea is still open, so this will not happen any time soon, right? 😅 Our community would benefit from this, too (+ voted for this).

We work with different usergroups in our community and they need to have access to different events.
Would love to know if there are any new developments.

We will have 5+ product users in our community and I want the same ability to assign a custom user role for permissions visibility for Events like I do for Community and Help Center 

This is a big need for us as well. We use roles to segment users and content by their product subscription. But events has no such capability. We’ve implemented our own script to do this based on the user’s role and keywords in the event titles, but it’s a very kludgy workaround. I hope that this is under consideration for development!!!

we have plans for event improvements in future we will continue to explore different idea. This idea is great but due to other priority we could work this year on it. We are parking the idea for now and revisit when we start the events exploration
