Request:
Introduce the ability to assign moderators at the category level within the knowledge base. Not all moderators should have global access—permissions should be scoped to specific categories as needed.

Why it matters:
This enhances security and decentralizes content management by allowing different teams or individuals to manage their own category content without having access to unrelated or sensitive areas.

Hi @Fabuhamdan!

You could technically solve this by granting access to a certain category via custom role and revoking access to the moderator primary role to that category, but this only impacts the visibility of topics in Destination (frontend), because a moderator will always have Control (backend) access where they can see all content in the moderation overview.

The moderator role was designed to have access to all topics and it is currently not possible to have this granularity.

Although this is something we can consider for the future, so I will keep this idea open for further voting.
