Oof...what is with the pastel color palette for CTAs in NXT?  It doesn’t match the rest of Gainsight - and we don’t have control over changing this.  Admins should be able to define the color palette used across the product.

Agreed - it would be great to have a way to set a custom color palette system-wide so you don’t have to change it for every component in a different area of the platform.

While we don’t have any plans as of today to provide the ability to choose custom colors, we are working on better color palette. Thanks.

@sriram pasupathi  These colors look pretty disconnected from the rest of a customized reporting palette.  I would urge Gainsight to reconsider and allow color palette to be consistent across the platform.

@sriram pasupathi like @darkknight said consistency at a minimum really, customer or a wider pallete is almost a secondary ask.

sriram pasupathi

@bradley Feedback taken. We will definitely be working on having a unified color palette.

This seems to be more important now that you can have up to 50 CTA types, but there are only 18 colors in the color palette that I can see.  Definitely going to make reporting really hard to read when you have to use the same or similar color multiple times.

Good point. Also, some of the colors are very very dark and on black font are unreadable. Can there be a consideration where after a point the font is white as well is the color is dark enough?

sriram pasupathi

We are exploring on making the color palette experience better. This includes choosing a new color in addition to standard color palette and selecting the font color.

Agreed. The color palette is brutal for dashboards and reports. The pastel colors are very hard to see and separate in reports.

@Dsousa sorry for the inconvenience, this is in development, I will let you know here once we consider for release.

+1 having more choices would be very much useful

I think the current pallet does not consider color blindness as a criteria. Most robust reporting systems have that option. These pastel colors are far from that.

@harsha pl check this conversation.

perry_rogers_10158d

Definitely would appreciate just a more advanced color picker to be able to change the color on ANY color swatch (Scorecards, CTAs, reports, etc)

+1 on this, my CTA reports looks really washed up next to other reports in our dashboard but even more than that, there are way to little color options to reflect our CTAs.

As you consider this, I would prefer the option to chose instead of a color palette define by gainsight which may not fit the rest of our color palettes.

@mpatra  please respond.  These colors are too limited and look terrible alongside all the other reports that allow for custom colors.

@mpatra is there any way to at least expand the number of available colors in this palate sooner?  18 is such a limited number, especially for Reasons.

I would love to be able to provide a concrete update to my leadership on this request. The pastels are difficult to view, clash with other reports, and generally look out of place.

Hi @darkknight ,

We are in process of redesigning our admin pages and we are picking this up in the redesign. We are tentatively targeting H1 2023 for this. Since we are also changing the underlying tech stack of the admin pages hence the color palette changes and the redesign of admin pages are tied in together. I will keep this thread updated with the status of the changes.

Thanks,

Monica
