Hey - In the backend control for Community - if there was an embedded widget that would recommend “Best Answers”, to help community managers mark best answer on questions within their own community.

It's frustrating to see good answers sitting on “open” questions because the original poster doesn’t reply. It would be a big help to the Community Managers if they could get help to flag these lingering, already-answered questions for cleanup.

We shouldn’t need to create a JO or report solely to flag these answers for moderators. This should be an easy QOL application with all the new Community AI features. “Hey, this topic has been answered, and hasn’t been reviewed in X days.”

Maybe this could be a manager-controlled setting, so we could say “notify me about a best answer if”:

  • Topic received X number of replies
  • Reply contains “Thank you” or has been liked at least “X” times
  • Topic has not been reviewed or marked as best answer X days after posting

@romihache ​@dayn.johnson ​@ahamburg9 I’m absolutely interested in this one as part of the AI Agents and future automation work I have planned. I’m going to leave this idea in “Discovery” for now, but just know I have this idea earmarked for that work when I start.

@Larry That’s great to hear! It would be especially useful if it could connect to an internal knowledge base or other tool where knowledge sharing among SMEs is gathered, to help verify that a posted response is the best answer. We have a lot of knowledge, and much of it is recorded, but we don’t always have the mechanisms for facilitating the transfer of that knowledge from internal to external, including verifying that content posted in the Community qualifies as a best answer.
