Conditionally Required Fields

Hi there,

It’d be great if we were allowed more flexibility in the realm of required fields.

We input data to custom objects via editable reports and/or CTA linked objects. We need to be able to configure fields to be “conditionally required” based on data in another field on the record before being able to save it.

That should also be a feature on standard object. 

It essentially needs to do just this: Conditionally Make a Field Required in Salesforce | Salesforce Help

Sounds like a pretty widespread thing and we consequently need it.

      This is very important to us to, in particular, in our case, having different mandatory fields for different close status. 

      In quite a few of our CTA types, there’s a “Link to Content” string field where it’s expected for CSM’s to link content used while working on the CTA, from just a slide deck to a G-drive folder. Having this being mandatory in all closed status means that CSM’s sometimes, to close a CTA as invalid, they need to make up anything in that field just to be able to close the CTA
