Configure the embeddable widget to display product updates

I originally raised this question here but wanted to formally convert to a feature request:

Is it possible to configure the in-page embeddable widget to display only product updates?

 

My use case: we host release notes in our community using the product updates module, and we’d like to display this content (and only this content) directly in our product.
