Hi Team,

Currently from rules we can create activities only for milestone type , In our road map do we have any possibility to give the option to create for other activity types as well ?

I’m very surprised this isn’t a thing. Can we fix that!

Totally agree - I have bumped into this several times in my career - just grumbled and moved on.  Please Gainsight - this will be hugely helpful!

Bumping this - we have a couple use cases for loading timeline activities from rules engine that are NOT milestones. Any news on whether this has been added to the roadmap?

Bubbling this up again to see if we can have the ability to create Timeline activities directly from Rules Engine Workflows. Honestly, it’s frustrating that this fundamental automation capability is still missing after years of request from customers.

Timeline is supposed to be the system of record for customer interactions, yet we still can’t programmatically log automated activities from Rules Engine without relying on workarounds or external processes like bulk create from APIs.

This gap creates manual overhead for CSM teams and inconsistent tracking of automated touch points.

At this point, this feels less like a “nice to have” and more like a core platform limitation that should already exist.

Many of us have been waiting a very long time for this capability, and it would have a significant impact on operational efficiency and adoption.

@revathimenon Can we get some product eyes on this 5+ year old idea with over 30 votes? Seems to be something that should have been added a few years back, not a QoL update but a core functionality.

@dayn.johnson

Let me take this internally and see what I can find.
