So many posts out here re: formulas in Report Builder (too many to curate) but I didn’t see one for this specific item: Why is there no Date formula that allows you to convert a DateTime to a Date field?  (Can’t do this in MDA either FYI, though you can do it in Data Designer and Rules Engine).

Use Case:  Building reports that I would use in Success Snapshots, there are fields (i.e. CTA Created/Closed/Modified Dates) that I may want to display for public consumption - but I have no direct way to change the DateTime field to Date without jumping through a bunch of rules and/or data designer hoops which seems like overkill/too much system overhead to resolve that way, and my CSMs hate having to manually edit the content in Snapshots.

This will likely be a bigger deal now with Spaces.  No one cares the exact minute a CTA, Success Plan, etc was created/closed/modified.

Related side note: It would be great if someone could provide a digest of all the formula functions across the platform, by feature/function area, and where there are gaps, an explanation as to why it’s a gap (if it’s technically not feasible).  It’s so incredibly hard to keep track of what formulas are available in which feature vs. not.

It blows my mind every time I notice the difference in building a formula filed in data management vs. rules/data designer vs. report builder
